Marta Nater
Marta Nater is a celebrated author known for her compelling storytelling and unique perspective on social justice issues. Born in the serene Vega Baja city of Puerto Rico during January’s cool embrace, Marta’s journey began on the enchanting island before life took her to the northern realms of New York City and Massachusetts at the tender age of one.

Family has played a pivotal role in shaping Marta’s life and work. Her father, a Sergeant War Veteran who served in the Korean War, passed away on October 3, 1989, after major surgery. Her mother, who battled Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s Disease, Hypertension, and Congestive Heart Failure, lived in a nursing home in Orlando, Florida, until her passing on October 16, 2022, at the age of 90. Both of Marta’s parents were devoted Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Marta is happily married to her long-time husband, Jaime. Together, they have built a loving home, including their cherished four cats. Despite the heartbreak of losing their infant daughter to a heart defect and other medical issues, Marta remains resilient and finds solace in her writing, which has been a therapeutic outlet for her lifelong struggle with depression.
