Marta Nater is a celebrated author known for her compelling storytelling and unique perspective on social justice issues. Born in the serene Vega Baja city of Puerto Rico during January’s cool embrace, Marta’s journey began on the enchanting island before life took her to the northern realms of New York City and Massachusetts at the tender age of one.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Marta Nater is a celebrated author known for her compelling storytelling and unique perspective on social justice issues. Born in the serene Vega Baja city of Puerto Rico during January’s cool embrace, Marta’s journey began on the enchanting island before life took her to the northern realms of New York City and Massachusetts at the tender age of one.

SPIRITUALITY AND BELIEFS

Marta’s upbringing was a complex tapestry of adversity and spirituality. Although her home was dysfunctional, it was also deeply religious. An early and unexplained spiritual experience solidified Marta’s unwavering belief in the existence and power of God. Her education journey included attending elementary school in Long Island, NY, middle school in Leominster and Worcester, Massachusetts, and high school in Taunton, Massachusetts. From 2009 to 2011, Marta pursued an online fiction writing course at the University of Central Florida, honing her craft and nurturing her passion for storytelling.

FAMILY AND PERSONAL LIFE

Family has played a pivotal role in shaping Marta’s life and work. Her father, a Sergeant War Veteran who served in the Korean War, passed away on October 3, 1989, after major surgery. Her mother, who battled Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s Disease, Hypertension, and Congestive Heart Failure, lived in a nursing home in Orlando, Florida, until her passing on October 16, 2022, at the age of 90. Both of Marta’s parents were devoted Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Marta is happily married to her long-time husband, Jaime. Together, they have built a loving home, including their cherished four cats. Despite the heartbreak of losing their infant daughter to a heart defect and other medical issues, Marta remains resilient and finds solace in her writing, which has been a therapeutic outlet for her lifelong struggle with depression.

PASSION FOR WRITING

Writing has always been Marta’s sanctuary. It is not only her greatest passion but also a vital part of her healing process. Marta’s dedication to her craft has earned her recognition, including a Silver Book Award. She has been featured in interviews on YouTube and audio radio by Triangle Media and the Mike Wagner Show, where she shared her life’s journey and the inspiration behind her books.

FAMILY AND PERSONAL LIFE

Marta’s works are characterized by their open-mindedness and congeniality. She strives to be a positive role model and aims to inspire others to fight for their beliefs through writing, advocacy, or other lawful means. Her commitment to social justice is evident in her novels, and she is a fervent advocate against child abuse, supporting guidelines and laws that protect children.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

In her leisure time, Marta enjoys walking on the beach after sundown, gardening, reading, roller skating, Latin dancing, going to the theatre, and spending quality time with her family and cats. She finds contentment and gratitude in life, feeling blessed by God in many ways.
